Ghada is the firm’s business and transactions lawyer and managing partner. She was recently accepted to the Leadership Tampa class of 2020 business leaders. Leadership Tampa is a program through the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce that works to identify, guide, and enhance the skills and opportunities of local business leaders. Hundreds of people apply each year for 50 coveted spots. In addition to her business acumen, Ghada’s professional expertise is well recognized. She was named to the Florida Legal Elite roster in 2018 and selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers® magazine from 2015 to 2020. The 1,126 Legal Elite lawyers listed from 2018 to 2022 represent fewer than 1.3% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida. The Super Lawyers recognition, an honor based on peer review, is reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys under age 40. She was recognized as a Super Lawyer® in 2022 and has maintained this distinction through 2024. She was also recognized as one of the “Legal Elite, Notable Women Leaders of Law” by Florida Trend in 2023 and as a “Legal Elite, Notable Managing Partner” by Florida Trend in 2024.
Ghada also demonstrated this pattern of excellence while attending law school at the University of Florida where she served as a research assistant for a professor of law, a Law Clerk at the Clerk of Circuit Court in Hillsborough County, and as a Summer Associate at Gray Robinson. After graduating, cum laude, she returned to her native Tampa to serve as the general counsel to a family-owned manufacturing and export company. Since co-founding Lieser Skaff, she has leveraged that experience to assist Tampa businesses on a wide range of transactions and contracts, such as purchase and sale agreements, licensing agreements and non-compete agreements, and fuel supply agreements.
Ghada has served as corporate counsel to some of Tampa Bay’s finest businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. A substantial part of her practice involves the sale or assignment of various types of businesses including restaurants, retailers, tech and digital media companies. Ghada also advises the firm’s business clients on the advantages and disadvantages of different business forms, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies (LLCs), and corporations. As part of that process, Ghada prepares, reviews, and analyzes documents required to establish and maintain a business in good-standing under Florida law, including articles of incorporation and organization, partnership agreements, bylaws, corporate resolutions, and annual filings. She is also well-versed in the international export of goods, including the drafting and review of Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and Legalized Documents. She is fluent in Arabic dialect and proficient in Modern Standard Arabic.
